I'm owner and am lead photographer of Yvonne Goll Photography. Fifteen years ago, I was a Midwest gal with wanderlust, a camera, and a desire to serve others. After graduating with a degree in biochemistry, opportunities came up to serve in places like Haiti & Africa alongside organizations like Doctors Without Borders, Agape Childrens Ministry, Dominican Medical Mission and Saving Innocence . Naturally, I brought my camera along. Further journeys through Southeast Asia brought chances to photograph destination weddings and impromptu elopements, and my passion for wedding photography was born.
500+ weddings later, and some things are still the same! My friends call me “Ohio-nice,” travel and photography are still my bedrocks, and my love affair with weddings has only grown more intense through the years.
MY APPROACH
Hello! It is so nice to meet you! I am so HONORED you have made it this far through my website and are trying to figure out a little bit more about me. This means you have looked through most of my photos... liked them... and now you are here to see if I would be a good fit for your wedding day! So YAY! You made it this far and I am so glad you are here! Now it is time for you to learn about me and where my photography started and where it is now. So let me take you through the last 15 years of my life as a wedding photographer.
As stated above I got my photography start by traveling and really found a passion for shooting weddings and love ceremonies. I then really fell in love with the idea of teaching others how to build there own photography business. This idea really blossomed and then I put a lot of my time and energy into building a team of young professionals who all LOVED shooting weddings. It has been an amazing ride! We have shot over 530 weddings by the end of 2023. Every couple having a different story that we get to photograph and every photographer going out and growing there own business once going through our internship program. It has been an amazing experience and one that I will never forget.
Now as of 2024 I am condensing and starting to SIMPLIFY. I have really fallen in love with Elopements and Intimate Weddings (as in 100 people or less in attendance). This passion is starting to take over my heart and I am so very excited to recreate YGP into a company that focuses our time and energy in this area of Weddings and Love Ceremonies.
As your photographer, we’ll be spending a lot of time together on your wedding day. My top priority is to make sure you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. One of the best compliments I ever received was from a client who said, “Yvonne made me feel like the most beautiful girl on the planet.” That’s exactly what I want: for you to feel like the most beautiful and authentic version of yourself! Getting to know you is the most important part of the photography process for me. I want to become friends through out this process.
Let's meet up for coffee. Let's grab dinner when you are in town. What ever it is the more time we get to spend together the more authentic your photos become and that is exactly what is needed to make sure your wedding photos are everything you dreamed of and more. As another client put it, “Yvonne made us feel so at ease… we didn’t even think about the fact that she was taking pictures!” THIS IS IT! This is what is important. If we can get you out of your head and into the connection between the two of you. That will create the most beautiful pictures for you to cherish for the rest of your life. This is my goal to be a friend to become invisible and for you to be so at ease that getting your photos taken just feels like no big deal.
Now let's talk about weddings. Gosh they just go by so fast! It is a blur. The second I arrive you will start to feel excited because that is when things start happening. As I like to say... Moving and Grooving. Shooting hundreds of weddings things like timing, capturing details, and navigating family dynamics have become very fluid for me. It maybe my specialty :) Want to make it to your cocktail hour? I’m happy to work on a plan with you to schedule wedding party and family shots to make that happen! And of course, this is a special day not just for you but also for your family and loved ones. Many of my couples have noted that “everyone felt special and comfortable,” during sometimes complicated family and group shots. I am here so have no fear! I will take care of it. That is why you hired me. I want to take every question everyone has about timeline... where they need to be when... what are they supposed to do with the flower... etc and take it off of your plate and put it onto mine. I am here to help in anyway I can and make sure everything flows smoothly so you can enjoy the wedding day with out any stress!
