I'm owner and lead photographer of Yvonne Goll Photography. Ten years ago, I was a Midwest gal with wanderlust, a camera, and a desire to serve others. After graduating with a degree in biochemistry, opportunities came up to serve in places like Haiti & Africa alongside organizations like Doctors Without Borders and TK. Naturally, I brought my camera along. Further journeys through Southeast Asia brought chances to photograph destination weddings and impromptu elopements, and my passion for wedding photography was born.
300+ weddings later, and some things are still the same! My friends call me “Ohio-nice,” travel and photography are still my bedrocks, and my love affair with weddings has only grown more intense.
MY APPROACH
Trusting someone to capture your love story and deliver images worthy of being passed down to future generations is a big decision! That’s why I think it’s crucial to understand a little bit about how we work here at Yvonne Goll Photography.
As your photographer, we’ll be spending a lot of time together on your wedding day. My #1 priority is to make sure you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. One of the best compliments I ever received was from a client who said, “Yvonne made me feel like the most beautiful girl on the planet.” That’s exactly what I want: for you to feel like the most beautiful and authentic version of yourself! (Oh, the person you’re marrying doesn’t like getting their photograph taken, either? Don’t worry, we’ll have them relaxed and Vogueing in no time!).
As another client put it, “imagining a stranger zooming into our faces while we were locking lips made us both a bit uncomfortable. Yvonne made us feel so at ease… we didn’t even think about the fact that she was taking pictures!” So, get your smooching lips ready cuz this is going to be fun!
Shooting hundreds of weddings has also made me an expert at things like timing, capturing details, and navigating family dynamics. Want to make it to your cocktail hour? I’m happy to work on a plan with you to schedule wedding party and family shots to make that happen! In the blur and excitement of the day it can be easy for couples to miss moments or details. As Breanne says, “I was so happy [Yvonne] took the time to capture all the details that I completely missed being able to witness.” And of course, this is a special day not just for you but also for your family and loved ones. Many of my couples have noted that “everyone felt special and comfortable,” during sometimes complicated family and group shots. These are just a few of the elements we’ll consider when approaching your day.

Although born and raised in San Luis Obispo County, I first discovered my passion for photography when I traveled internationally for a couple of years and got to work with other creative artists from all over the world. During that time, I developed a love of celebrating the diversity of others and their life stories through photography.
Working with Yvonne has expanded that love into the world of wedding photography. Now, I get to witness and capture two beautifully unique and individual lives intertwine on one of the most special days of their lives.
I’m just your good ol’ third wheeler, who is here to celebrate you at the end of the day.
