Cayucos Wedding at Swallow Creek Ranch

Mindy and Ian celebrated their gorgeous Cayucos wedding at Swallow Creek Ranch this past weekend. Every moment of the day was stunning, from the outdoor ceremony to the barn reception and coastal sunset.

How They Met!

Mindy and Ian first met on a film set! On a whim, Mindy agreed to act in a friend’s web series, and Ian just so happened to be the cinematographer. At first, they just introduced themselves, got the project done, and exchanged contact info.

A year later, Ian was at a party when someone mentioned that Mindy was single! After a brief conversation through instagram, Ian decided to call Mindy. Impressed by his old fashioned methods, she agreed to go on their first date a week later…at a bowling alley! They hit it off immediately and talked until 2:00 am at In-n-Out. After only 3 months of dating, Ian realized that Mindy was the woman he wanted to marry. Luckily, Mindy felt the same way about him. A year later, they moved in together with their two cats, Obie and Bentley.

Ian had plans to propose, but COVID threw a wrench in things. In the middle of 2020, Ian suggested they get away for a few days to the Central Coast. They drove to Pismo beach and did their favorite hike near Hearst Castle. After an hour of hiking through the woods, they came to a clearing that overlooked a remote bay. Then, Ian asked if he could take her picture. Polaroid SX-70 in hand, Ian snapped a shot. To Mindy’s surprise, the Polaroid that popped out of the camera was already exposed. It had the words, “Will you marry me?” on it. Finally, Ian handed her a ring and Mindy said YES!
